There are 3 categories of award with individual eligibility rules.
All projects MUST have been undertaken within the HENE region.
Each of the three awards has a fixed value of £200. This is paid via cheque / BACS to a single winner in each category.
At the time of application, you must be a UK Medical Student.
At the time of application, you must be a junior doctor, who has not yet commenced Core or ACCS training.
At the time of application, you must be a non physician healthcare professional eg Nurse or Advanced Practitioner, employed by Newcastle upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust. This is a local level award.
Any audit, research, or quality improvement project undertaken within the North East, in one or more of the following disciplines:
Applicants must adhere to the deadlines throughout this process.
Applications will be accepted via this website from Monday 24 May 2021 to Sunday 1 August 2021.
A pre selected panel of senior clinicians will review and shortlist applications after this deadline.
Shortlisted applicants will be informed late August / early September and be invited to attend the Prize Day event at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne on the afternoon of Tuesday 21 September 2021.
Covid pending, this will be a mandatory face-to-face event. Non local applicants will be offered a tele-conferencing option to present their work.
